Standard Hose Reels: The housing is typically made of plastic or thin steel plate, and the spring strength is relatively low. They are primarily designed for low-pressure (<10 bar) air, water, or low-voltage cables. The reel and swivel joints are often made of plastic or standard brass, with standard rubber seals. Hose lengths generally range from 10 to 20 meters, with smaller inner diameters (e.g., 6–8 mm). Heavy-duty hose reels: Constructed from heavy-gauge steel plate or all-stainless steel, with stronger, more resilient springs, they have a service life of up to tens of thousands of cycles. They can withstand high-pressure (100–400 bar) hydraulic oil, steam, highly corrosive chemicals, and high-current cables. Key components are made of steel or chrome-plated steel, with precision rotary joints and seals made of corrosion-resistant materials such as Teflon and fluororubber. Hoses can be up to 30–50 meters long, with an inner diameter of 1 inch (25 mm) or more. Designed for continuous operation (e.g., assembly lines or mining operations). With a high safety rating, they can be equipped with explosion-proof motors and conductive rings for static grounding, ensuring safe operation in environments with flammable dust or gases (ATEX).
