Alloy/Gem Nozzles

CYCO Alloy/Gem Nozzles – These aren’t standard brass or stainless nozzles. We make them from hardened alloys (like tungsten carbide or Stellite) or with jewel orifices (sapphire or ruby). The idea is simple: some liquids eat regular nozzles alive – abrasive slurries (sand, coal ash, lime mud), high-velocity water jets, or fluids with hard particles. A standard nozzle might last weeks. An alloy or gem nozzle lasts years. The jewel insert gives you a precise, round orifice that resists wear and holds flow tolerance tight. The alloy body takes the pounding and corrosion. Common uses: water jet cutting (the orifice has to stay round or the cut goes bad), descaling steel, slurry spraying in mining, and high-pressure cleaning in paper mills. Spray patterns include flat fan, full cone, and solid stream. Flow rates vary. Tell us your pressure, particle size, and what you’re spraying. We’ll spec the right alloy and orifice for your job.
